Navy Fleet Day Celebration on Curaçao

Navy Fleet Day Celebration  was May 18, 2008, on Curaçao. This day included visits on the Dutch Royal Navy ships, displays of the aircraft, a 10K Run and 5K Walk over the high bridge in Willemstad. Marguerite participated in the walk and we all got T-shirts (see below). Willemstad, the main commercial center of Curaçao has two parts, Punda and Otrabanda. From the bridge you can clearly see the two sides. In the photo above Punda is on the left. The bridge you see in the distance is a walking floating bridge that opens for the big ships.
