Peruvian Amazon Trip, March 2008

This is the view of homes on the Amazon River in Iquitos. Iquitos is the Peruvian city of about 500,000 people, no roads into it, only boats coming up the Amazon and airplanes. I stayed here a couple days before and after my visit at Explorama Lodge. The lodge is located near the Napa tributary of the Amazon. This  rustic lodge is  a fabulous place to view the flora and fauna of the rainforest. Nearby is Pucallpa Village which I adopted in 1998. More details below. Click where you want to visit!
